A local outreach event took place this morning at Champions Recovery Center in downtown Avenal, bringing information about mental health, substance use treatment, recovery, and community resources to local residents.
Held at 228 Kings Street, the gathering welcomed community members to meet with representatives, ask questions, and learn more about services available throughout Kings County.

Representatives from Champions Recovery Center and Kings Partnership from Hanford were on hand throughout the morning. The representatives were welcoming, kind, and informative, taking time to answer questions and explain the resources available to the community.
Those who stopped by were also treated to coffee and fresh donuts, creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere for the morning outreach. Attendees could also enter a raffle for a basket of treats and a Dutch Bros Coffee gift card.
Avenal Press was on location to report on the event, speak with representatives, and learn more about the resources being shared with the community.
The event brought a great turnout, showing the value of bringing information and community services directly into Avenal.

Although the outreach event has concluded, the message continues: resources are available right here in downtown Avenal.
Avenal Press encourages residents to spread the word with family, friends, and neighbors. Knowing where resources are located can make it easier for someone to find information when they need it.
Community outreach is about more than one event — it’s about making sure residents know what resources exist and where they can find them.
